Born in Baltimore, Maryland (USA) but raised in Canada, Joel is a Scorpio, born in October.

Joel Bissonnette made his feature film debut in Jonathan Captan's Language of the Heart, produced by Norman Jewison. He appeared in the films Fight Club, Boulevard, and Darkman III: Die, Darkman, Die. He starred in Lynne Stopkewich's Suspicious Rivier, which premiered at the 25th Toronto International Film Festival.

His television credits include recurring roles on The Invisible Man and Canadian program, Liberty Street, as well as guest starring roles on Cracker, Arliss, FX: The Series, The Shield , Sirens, and Veronica Mars .

Bissonnette is a graduate of the prestigious Dawson Theatre Program in Montreal, Canada. He has performed at Montreal's Dome Theatre and received critical acclaim for his roles in The Merchant of Venice, Twelfth Night, and La Ronde.

Centruy Hotel was Bissonnette's second collaboration with director David Weaver, having previous starred in Weaver's short film, Drive.
