Emerald's Pictures

These are pictures of me (it is an ego page!) and stuff that I like.  Until I can get real pictures again, you'll have to deal with stuff I did when I was bored. :p  They'll make more sense if you watch LOST.

Preakness 2006

No Dressed up pics this year. It was a very rough Preakness with my back injury and other stresses, so we just got some pics around the barns and there are some pics of the horses on the track. I suspect my friend di not send me the pics of Barbaro because (on top of everything else that had happened lately) the whole incident of witnessing his injury and having to pretend to be unaffected as his horrified trainer went running past me in the owners' box left me very depressed. So there's just some laid back pics of me and some special horses.

This filly is the baby sister of the special horse I took care of 3 years ago. He was a Kentucky Derby possibility, but the trainer wouldn't listen to groom or vet and ended up breaking him down. I had helped take care of his two older sisters (all from the same mare), and another sister last year who won her first 3 races before the trainer ruined her as well. This filly is the 5th baby from that mare, and it's like I've taken care of her whole family. I just wish the owner would stop sending his horses there.

Here's another pic of Baby Sis.

And you can see that I had a hard time tearing myself away from this girl.

Magic Pearl - Just got a feeling about her while I was there. The picture doesn't do her justice at all. She truly gorgeous.

This is Princess. Her real name is Abby's Sister, but nobody ever called her that. She was one that I took care of when I was a groom. A very tidy filly she was. And also quite grumpy. See how her ears are back? You could be giving her a treat and she'd still be angry. Silly Princess.

And here is Princess's true self. The side she preferred to show to the world. Hee hee.

From Preakness weekend of 2005 at Pimlico racetrack in Baltimore, MD - My friend Lisa (from NY) worked for Customer Service.  Thanks to Lisa for the pics!

This is what I had up before I got some real pictures. :) If you want to see other pics of me (including a couple from my car accident) click here.

This is me with my horse and my wolf.  We're on a different part of the Island from the LOST survivors. This is me in the lovely garden where I live with Sayid in our special little area of the Island. This is me in one of my Sayid's favorite outfits.  We go out wading on the beach at sunset. This is me with my trusty light saber.  Notice how my gown is made up of a special material that helps me blend into backgrounds like those on the forest moon of Endor.

This is me, if I were a fairy.  I'm not, but if I were, I'd pretty much look like this.

And this is me, if I were a centaur.  I'm not.  But if I were, I would probably want to look like this.

Or..

Maybe...

Like...

THIS! :)

I'm working on some Heraldry ideas. Here is one that I made up with sort of a Lord of the Rings thing in mind. And the next one is more related to a book series known as the Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. The third image is one that I created to use as a signature on a Wheel of Time Community Board that I visit.

This is a fun little experiment that I did with ice cubes in my freezer. I thought it was cool. I took pictures. What can I say?
