Wow. This movie is really awful. (Sorry Joel) It's a poorly written film about a serial killer who... may, or may not, be sexually assaulting his victims. It's kind of hard to tell, since he seems to think dissolving flesh from a fish is a good start before working over his victim. And the guy playing Joel's partner in this film is just plain terrible. The movie comes across as having been shot by a 14-year-old Sam Raimi. And not in a good way. Painful, I tell you. Joel is the one redeeming thing about it. Even with the pathetic dialogue, he manages to not overplay the part. Not easy to do. Just ask Ewan McGregor. Anyway, it was nice to have Joel *not* be the bad, icky person for a change. :-)
